DNS Modification

DNS or Domain name service is the means by which domain names that human understand get translated into IP addresses that computers understand.

 

MX record is the server that used to receive mail of the target domain. To use HKES Mail Armor Service, target domain must change MX records as follow:

The first MX record is needed by internet users to send email of your domain via our server. The second MX record is to ensure that you can receive mails if our server is down.

 

Control Panel

After registration completed, you will receive a password from HKES. You can use this password and your domain name to login our ¡§Mail Armor Control Panel¡¨ at https://mailarmor.hkes.com .

 

Control Panel contains 5 functions:

 

1.          Mail Report

2.          Spam Filtering Setting

3.          Mail Filtering Report

4.          Send message to us

5.          change web admin password

 

After the first time login, you are required to reset the password to enable all of your administration function. Click the Password ICON to change your password.

Mail Report

Mail Report shows "top domains" statistic according to sender, receiver, total mails, and bytes, and keeps the main domain mail statistics with regard to day's top domain, and top users values for per day, per month, and per year.

 

Spam Filter Settings

In this section, you can define your black list and white list address and the spam threshold scores.

 

l          Email address in Allow list will always not be blocked as spam.

l          Email address in Deny list will be always blocked.

 

 

l          Required Hits: HKES Spam filtering tests have been run, the resulting score is matched against this value, and if greater than this value, the e-mail message is marked as spam and dropped.

 

 

Virus/Spam Filter Report

This report shows all Virus and Spam dropped by HKES mail filtering system.
